Prance

Prance

Prance was probably the most successful one this year. Most of the people were dancing and overall we had made quite a bit for next year’s STUCO. Though I have to admit, being a STUCO president.. I probably wasn’t the best.. I mean I thought I could handle almost everything that was thrown at me, but I have a flaw in which I hate forcing and bugging people to do things. My way of thinking is that, I’m told once, I better do it and if I’m told again I’m screwed because I should have done it the first time. But I have come to realize that most people aren’t like that and that I as a president have to constantly be on them, telling them to get things done. If I could travel back in time, that is what I would do, plan everything out and have everyone be on time.
But anyways back to Prance, it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing people enjoy themselves and encouraging people to go on stage and dance.

When I first woke up on the day of the prance I was already up early in the morning running around helping prepare for the big event. I went over to Amy's house and helped put the decorations in order and helped paint the back drop for the photography. Then after all of that was done, after about 7 hours, we headed over to PIC for last minute preparations and got all of the decorations in order. After that I headed home for a nice long hot shower.
After my shower I put on my best tux and then headed down to my Girlfriend's house to pick her up. Once I picked her up we went straight to 360 and had a nice romantic dinner together along with Amy and Abel and Mike and Shane.

If I had a Million dollars

What would you do if you had a million dollars? If I had a million dollars I would first put half of it in the bank for safe keeping. Once half of it is in the bank I would use one fourth of the other million to go into tax exemption! WOOO! Because my dad has always taught me to do that if I ever won the lottery. Ultimately I would have 250,000 dollars to spend as I please. The first thing I would do is help my father pay off the house and all the other debt which leaves me probably around 100,000 dollars respectively. With that money I would put a 90,000 dollar down payment on a modest three bed room two bath two story house with a small Jacuzzi and a nice open backyard. Considering I would be an anesthesiologist at the time I would be able to live very comfortably with my wife and kids along with our pet dog. Nothing fancy will be going on within the house hold mainly because I don’t feel the need to have fancy fast cars or fancy brand name clothes. The simple compact economic car would do just fine along with a moderately fuel efficient truck.

My favorite Season

My favorite season is... wait.  Wait a second.  There are no freaking seasons here.  There's just freaking hot season and freaking even hotter season.  So what the heck is this topic all about?!

Well... I guess out of the two seasons we have here, my favorite would be typhoon season.  That way the typhoon would come and we'd all get to skip school and go surfing.  And when typhoon season rolls around my mom stocks up on junk food and we get to eat it all and watch it pour outside.

For those of you who aren't in the know, Saipan's typhoon season runs from July to January - most of the nasty stuff happens in September and October though.  We're so relaxed about typhoons because 1, there's no way a tsunami would hit us because of the Marianas Trench, and 2, all of the buildings here are required to be made of concrete, so when it hits, we can barely feel it.
The worst that can happen is maybe some power outages and being stuck in the house for a day, but that's all not too bad.  I guess then I'll just have to talk to my family instead of logging ont to Facebook.  We turn on the radio, light candles, and cook pots and pots of soba on the gas burner.  The real big thing about the power outages that sucks would be the lack of water, which means flushing the toilet is limited to one flush per toilet, and then after that we have to find some water and manually put it in the toilet - otherwise we just hold it in.  But yeah, other than that it's fine.

It's kind of romantic, actually.  Being holed up in your house with candles burning and the rain hammering outside.  It's something that could definitely be used for some sort of novel or something; maybe I'll sell my typhoon stories with bored, suburbanite writers with lackluster lives, searching (and paying) for inspiration.

I wish we had all four seasons here, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of calling this place a "tropical island paradise".  In Georgia there will be some more variation, I think, but it still won't snow.  I'm thinking of going to my aunt's place in Oklahoma sometime this winter to make snow angels and such, but I'd definitely have to save up to go skiing anywhere.  Maybe I can get some people together and take a few trips, but who knows what will happen.

Only Song I Could listen to

Only Song

If I had to listen to one song for the rest of my entire life, I'd pick Beethoven's 9th Symphony.  Not because I listen to it all the time or anything, but because it's an epic battle song that people haven't gotten tired of for like 200 years.   200 years!  I mean, if it can stand that test of time, then I can certainly listen to it for a couple of decades.

Another nice thing about it is that it has no lyrics that will get old or repetitive to annoy me.  I mean, let's face it, the lyrics we hear now are probably going to be old in 10 years (aside from the Sinatras of our generation - if there are any).  Lyrics won't get stuck in my head, which is always a good thing.

Because it has no lyrics and it's like classical music, I can easily tune out of the symphony if I wanted to.  But that's only a good thing if I have to listen to the song on repeat forever - if not, I guess I could just turn off my iPod or whatever I'm listening with.

But I really hope I don't have to listen to only one song for the rest of my life.  Well, actually, I'm pretty sure I don't have to.  Instead, I get to listen to awesome bands like Foo Fighters, Panic at the Disco, the Civil Wars, and so on and so forth.  B)

My Perfect Holiday

My Perfect Holiday

My perfect holiday would look somewhat like that out of one of those action spy movies. Half of my time would be spent basking in the sun on a deserted island and then wandering about in the forest hunting for my food, or swimming about spearfishing.  On my spare time I would go up to the hill and practice my shooting with my Barret .50 cal and silenced special opp rifle. Once my day is about to end I would fly over to the mainland and drive into the nearest city spending a night around town gambling and having fun. Of course these would mean I wouldn’t have sleep for days on end, but that would be fine because I would be used to sleep deprevation. While on the island no other human beings must be on the island at the same time and no dangerous animals (except maybe a few wild pigs). The island should be at least a mile long and a mile wide with a mountain in the center of it, on top of it I would build a small simple open house (island theme).  The house will be solar and wind powered, outfitted with all green electronics. Inside there will be a big open bedroom surrounded with mosquito net. The house would really represent a cement house with no glass windows, just open. Everything that could possibly be needed to survive will be provided inside the house.. The island will have an abundance of fish, food plants, and animals to hunt to have that thrill of the kill sort of feeling. There will be an emergency satellite phone if something were to happen and a boat stationed inside a cave on the island to make any trips that may be needed.

What is beauty?

What is beauty?

Beauty is what is found within you. It is only seen in yourself, and that is where you see it in others. People think beauty is unique and it just comes to them, but really its the things that the people find beautiful are the things that they don’t have, Traits that the beholder doesn’t have, there for has desire and finds this person they are looking at beautiful. Beauty has two faces, physical beauty and emotional/mental beauty. But in this way of thinking beauty is seen as very shallow, because there are so many different traits, personalities, and sizes, that people allowing people to find so many different other people beautiful. Mental beauty is a beauty that takes time to get familiar with. A bond that is seen greatest amongst the blind, for they do not know physical beauty, and therefore seen people for who they really are in their personalities. What is beauty? beauty can only be described by which words cannot be described. That makes absolutely no sense but who cares its love. Love has no real reason but to reproduce … kidding! love is something that people feel for one another. A feeling that you need to protect and care for that individual, one that most people may think they have but don’t really. Some people think they have fallen madly in love with one person but realistically they haven’t. they are just massively infatuated with one person. Love is unconditional love for another. Everything they do for them is unconditional. Love is when you would do anything for that person and expect nothing in return, but there does exist that non official rule that what is given should be at least given as well. Some people experience “love” and think oh I love this person so much and then two years later go oh that wasn’t love we are young and we don’t know love. Love is unconditional love. Love is where you can be completely honest with someone and know that they will always be there with you, someone who will look after you and be there whenever you want them too, and someone who just shows their affection for you in public and not even care. Some people think you can find lover just talking to people over the internet or just talking to them on the phone for long periods of time and then you start to think oh I like this person, but that is completely wrong. Love can only be confirmed if you have seen them and been with them for long periods of time alone. Love is a physical thing as much as it is an emotional thing. Nothing is worse than giving someone false hope and no chances, false hope robs the people of the truth and gives them no chances to be with you. I am really making no sense here. I can’t think and my head hurts but whatever and I hate my keyboard because I can’t type properly. but yea love is basically a test whether or not you can stay with someone alone for long periods of time, if you can’t you might as well not be in a relationship if you cannot commit to one. Because in the end that’s what it is all about. Being able to commit your life to one person. It makes me mad that some people refuse to show their affection to their significant other. It like why even be in a relationship if you aren’t even going to give your other the attention they need when they have already given you all the attention you deserve. For some people they need to be reminded daily that they are loved, some longer, but the reason that people should do nice things for their significant other is because it shows that they care and that they love them. As human beings we need to be reminded because humans are forgetful. We are God’s most flawed creatures. Its dumb how people think they can measure their love for someone, to me its either you love them or you don’t, simple as that. If you are unsure just leave, life is about committing yourself and there should be no such things as an unsure answer. I would rather live a life only have loved once instead of having my heart or love spread over the world, because once you love you never forget. Because there is a special bond that is formed between the two and usually lasts a lifetime.

Okay today I want to talk about the people who have trouble with their morals… or really if I myself have trouble with my morals. As we seen in many great movies; platoon and Apocalypse now, we find that man is constantly in battle with not only his physical enemy, but also his own self morals. He is usually given an order but then usually always has this long arduous battle with himself on whether it is the right thing to do. We are at a time that soldiers need to have less conflict within their mind and just carry on with the mission they have been assigned with. This is why we need to improve our science and robotics division so we can send in drones to carry out missions. Yes we may have people behind the chair controlling these aircraft, but they are within a room thousands of miles away with a clear mind and conscious. People need to think of winning a war like this, there are “bad” people we don’t like trying to attack us and we need to destroy them. Think of it like surgery, we need to cut away skin and cause some bleeding before we can remove the infected part. Depending how big the problem is, we may need to cut a lot. Then our war that we fight in the future will only be a loss in money, not U.S lives. We need not to worry about those who die in other countries, because once they die they are forgotten, it is the un written law of death. Some may be forgotten later on in time but they will eventually become nothing. For those in other countries, they only become a number… an example “5 children die every five seconds in Africa due to starvation, disease, or murder” we don’t know exactly who they are or what they did.. they are just a number to us.
